Peeler Environmental is a progressive Termite and Pest Management firm in Salisbury, NC since 1968.

We are looking for high energy, outgoing candidates with great work ethic and excellent customer service skills to support customers, service technicians, and fellow staff in providing services to help homeowners, businesses, schools, and various facilities in the Salisbury-Rowan and surrounding areas.  Experience in the Pest Control industry is a plus, but not required.

Details of the position:

This job position will be responsible for accompanying management in services for present and new customer accounts.  Assisting in these services will consist of all interactions between the company, client, and field representatives and the documentation thereof.

You will gain knowledge of technical service information relating to the biology, habits, and control of structural pests.  Under the watch-care of Peeler Environmental, the Administrative Assistant will achieve North Carolina Dept. of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Division certification in both P and W phases and will be responsible for maintaining Continuing Education Units to retain such certification.

You will gain knowledge of the use of company database and communication systems to provide support for customers and service specialists.  A strong computer/technology background will be important in learning specialized company database software.

This job position will work directly and promptly with clients on the phone and in person, field service specialists, and fellow administrative staff.

You will provide support for those named that will work in direct relationship in terms of account setup, scheduling, invoicing, service posting, customer concerns, filing, and billing within the customer database. The job position will be responsible for constant, consistent follow-up with service specialists to ensure services are performed accurately, timely, and completely.

You will be available for work 40hrs/wk each day the office is open from 8am-5pm except for permissible time off.  You may also be responsible for possible work hours beyond 40hrs/8-5 for training and management meetings as necessary with prior notice.


  • A valid NC Driver’s license and transportation
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A clean criminal record (will be screened)
  • Excellent communication skills using telephones, email, and messaging systems
  • An outgoing, friendly personality ready to work with the public
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer/technology skills

Compensation depends upon qualifications and experience.  Trainees with little experience can expect ~$540/wk to begin.  Well qualified, experienced candidates may commence employment at a higher pay rate.
